In this video i show you how i install a wire fence in our garden or orchard. A wire fence may not be a thing of beauty but it isn t meant to be. The majority of work in putting up a t post fence is actually the installation of the wooden corner and end posts. A sturdier version uses regular wood posts set in holes.

Mesh fencing is a cheap and fast way to help chained dogs. When it comes to fast installation however a wire fence is perfect for the job. This fence took a few people about three hours to build allowing us to free two dogs who lived on. The quickest are made with metal posts driven into the ground.

Wire mesh can be attached to the t posts in the same way as wire strands or installed at a later date and attached directly to the wire strands and the wooden posts. Except for the corners the posts are simple straight rods that even have a special tool designed to drive them into the ground. Once complete your t post wires can be retightened every year or so to keep the fence stable and effective. This won t work in all circumstances but this cut my fence installation time in half. Installing t posts to support wire fencing is relatively low cost and they are easy to install. Woven wire fencing is the most common material to use in conjunction with t posts.
