Installing Shower Door On Ceramic Tile

Work on one wall jamb at a time and follow these steps.

Position the inside door panel against the vertical wall frame nearest the showerhead. Without moving the track use a 4 foot level to adjust the jamb until it s plumb. Install the inside door by slipping the top of the door panel into the upper inside channel then swinging the bottom of the door panel into the lower inside track. Place end caps on the tops of the wall channels.

On the side of the shower opening that will support the door hold a jamb piece against the wall so that its lower end fits into the base track. In our project one wall is 31 inches and the other is 36 inches. Tile the alcove sill and then the sides and top. Secure the jamb with the screws supplied by the manufacturer or the anchor.

Set tiles on shower side walls measure the width of the shower walls on either side of the door. Then align the holes in the wall jamb with the holes or screw anchors in the wall.
