If you re not using an air cooled hid light led cfl or regular hid.
Inline fan grow tent setup.
In this case the best way is to connect the carbon filter to the intake of your exhaust fan inside your grow space grow tent.
It s the point where most have a challenge but it s a simple procedure.
Instead the inline exhaust fan will suck the air out of your tent creating a vacuum.
There are two ways you can set up the intake system for your grow tent.
The only issue with grow tents is that they have poor air circulation.
For the majority of grow tent growers a passive intake system works perfectly.
A grow tent with the aforementioned dimensions will need an inline fan of about 4 inches most of which have a cfm of about 190 more than enough for the tent.
That said the recommended approach is to hang the fan and filter inside the tent.
With grow tents you can grow crops indoors with a lot of ease.
There are many grow tent ventilation setups you can consider.

However if you have a larger grow tent or are using a grow room you would probably need a larger 10 12 fan.
I won t write out all the math but i ll use the same method i used for the 4x4 grow tent above one carbon filter and one 90 degree duct bend.
For those using a smaller grow tent look for a 4 fan.
So for a 4x4 grow tent with an area of 106 cubic feet a grow tent fan inline fan rated for 200cfm would get the job done.
During this step it s time to get the grow tent ventilation setup.
