This very fine statuary marble and scagliola chimneypiece with inlaid neo classical designs is in the manner of pietro bossi.

The central plaque depicts two carved seated winged griffons either side of a flaming urn two inlaid green marble panels either side. This technique has been replicated by ryan smith to produce this uniquely irish fireplace. The moulded shelf above an inlaid faux fluted freize centred by a rectangular tablet applied with a drapery hung urn the corresponding faux fluted jambs with urn cappings on block feet.
